HIERARCHY IN WING CHUN

The concept of hierarchy in Wing Chun is based on basic Confucian considerations. Designations such as Sifu (the father's teacher), Sihing, Sigung, Todai, etc. are family designations that result in hierarchical relationships analogous to a family structure. Approach your teacher with courtesy and respect. Bow to the teacher when you get a hint. Do not cross your arms over your chest when speaking to the teacher. Blah blah blah if you ask me. THE THREE LEVELS IN WING CHUN

WING CHUN Kung Fu as well as many of the Asian martial arts and martial arts such as judo, karate, etc. teach the practitioner to defend themselves and thus become capable of self-defense. This is associated with both physical and mental development and maturation. When practiced correctly, WING CHUN teaches a lot more. This is reflected in the three levels of the WING CHUN system. WING CHUN vs. WING TSUN

Is it actually called WING CHUN or Wing Tsun? Simply answered, this style of kung fu is referred to as "WING CHUN" almost everywhere in the world. "WING CHUN" is the most internationally recognized spelling for this martial art - except in Germany. Here the spelling "WING TSUN" can be found most often due to the widespread use of the EWTO. COMMERCIALIZED WING CHUN AND BRAND PROTECTION

The teaching of martial arts - be it judo, karate or WING CHUN - is nothing more than a service provided by the teacher. the student. Services cost money and thus the teacher can earn money by teaching. In WING CHUN, however, this is taken to the extreme by some and one speaks of "commercialized Wing Chun".
